Pre-installation Preparations
Installing PPR pipe fittings is like preparing for a delicate surgery; the tools and materials are indispensable:
Heat Melt Apparatus Selection: Match the appropriate die head according to the pipe diameter, and control the temperature at 260℃±5℃.
Pipe Preparation: Cut vertically with specialized scissors, ensuring a clean, burr-free cut.
Cleaning Procedure: Wipe the pipe and fitting connection surfaces with a non-woven cloth to remove dust and oil stains.
Key Techniques for Heat Melt Welding
Mastering these techniques will ensure your fittings are as strong as the original factory fittings:
Heating Time: Approximately 5 seconds for 20mm pipes, approximately 7 seconds for 25mm pipes, and approximately 8 seconds for 32mm pipes.
Installation Depth: Mark the end of the pipe to ensure it is inserted into the intended position.
Cooling and Shaping: Maintain the fitting in a fixed position for at least 30 seconds after welding to prevent displacement under pressure.
Post-Installation Quality Confirmation
Don't rush to turn on the water! These checks can prevent 80% of potential leaks:
Visual inspection: The welded rings should be uniform and full, without any signs of incomplete welding or over-melting.
Pressure test: Hold at 1.5 times the working pressure for 1 hour; the pressure drop should not exceed 0.05 MPa.
System flushing: Before first use, flush with water to remove any possible welding residue.
