How to choose a PPR reducing tee to avoid rework?

When renovating hot and cold water pipes at home, you often encounter situations where the main pipe is thicker than the branch pipes-for example, a 32mm main pipe needs to branch off to a 20mm sink branch, or a 25mm water heater inlet needs to be connected to a 20mm angle valve. In these cases, ordinary equal-diameter tees are simply unusable; forcing the connection can easily lead to bulging, leaks, and failing pressure tests.

PPR reducing tees are specifically designed for this type of "pipe-to-pipe" connection. They have three different diameter fittings, but all are integrally heat-fused, with a smooth inner wall transition, resulting in low water flow resistance and more even stress distribution during thermal expansion and contraction. It's not simply a matter of "changing the diameter," but rather a natural connection between different pipe diameters, allowing for a one-step installation without the need for multiple adapters or repeated cutting and adjustments.
